"Meeting Your Multimedia Needs"
Late night computer sessions and lots of hair pulling later, the trailer
was finished. Despite the hard work, I think it is a good representation of what can be
accomplished in 3d storytelling. To view the movie trailer go to

In the intial stages of Codename: Leviathan, an online movie trailer
site was created. This site consisted of production stills,
storyboards and a 30 second movie trailer for promotional purposes.
The trailer and website took two months to complete. They required
a close integration of numerous 3d and 2d software applications.
The artwork was produced primarily on a PC computer running windows.
The image files were ported over to a G5 mac for compositing and
final renders. The sound was recorded and mixed on a G4 mac,
adding to the overall complexity of the project.
The project is planned to involve 3d animation of console style game
characters. Codename has had its share of interesting bumps thru
its pre-viz. I found that an animator needs to be part artist,
part engineer. Chief concern for a director is a well thought out
animation production pipeline.
Codename: Leviathan is science fantasy story that chronicles the
adventures of a small band of friends as they try to save the galaxy
from a hostile invader. The story has been under development for 18
months at the time of writing. Its my brain child. I'm Jim
MacKay, multimedia artist and animator. I graduated from the
Humber college 3d game
animation program in 2002. Following Humber, I received a
Holland college interactive multimedia certificate
in June 2005.
